Mid-West Materials Holds Ceremony For New Leveler Facility
Mid-West Materials, Inc.’s CEO Brian Robbins recently introduced the company’s new Leveltek Stretch Leveling System facility to local and state dignitaries. This ceremony marks the final phase of the 240,000 sq. ft. facility, “which includes cut-to-length lines, levelers, slitters and shears, will provide the industry’s flattest, memory-free steel up to ¾” thick and 100” wide, from mild to ultra-high-strength. It will allow Mid-West to provide the highest standard in flat, memory-free steel to satisfy increasing demands for extremely high quality stock required by newer, more sophisticated manufacturing and processing techniques such as robotic laser and plasma cutting,” according to the company. Mid-West is aiming to increase its presence in the North American steel service center industry with this new facility.
One attendee, State Senator Eklund, commented, “We’re celebrating the importance of vision, the value of persistence and a commitment to community that makes NE Ohio a better place to live and work. We all benefit in terms of economic growth, jobs and community spirit.”
The service center currently distributes Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled and Coated steel products to those in the North American market.
