Contrary to what German weekly WirtschaftsWoche reported that South Korean steelmaker POSCO is interested in buying ThyssenKrupp AG’s steel plants in the U.S. and Brazil, POSCO has denied any such idea. A POSCO spokeswoman, Kim Ji-young, said, "We have not received an offer to buy the plants. Neither have we considered the purchase."

The news source, German weekly WirtschaftsWoche, also included in their earlier report the Brazilian mining company Vale SA as being interested in ThyssenKrupp’s plants.
