SMU believes this workshop is the premier industry training for those looking to better understand the steel making processes and steel market fundamentals. But, don’t take our word for it – see what our past attendees have to say:
“I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop! The Power Points and explanations were easy to understand and a take-home book was provided that further supplemented the information. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable with extensive and vast steel experience. The culmination of the conference was the trip to a steel mill and seeing first-hand what we had learned. I would recommend this conference to anyone that wants to know more about steel...” - Joanna Kronberg Consolidated Systems, Inc.
“The workshop was great. Provided me with some solid fundamental knowledge I was lacking in both my industry and steel making in general. Having transitioned into manufacturing from non-manufacturing the fundamental knowledge this workshop provided was great! All of the instructors had a superior level of knowledge that was clearly evident in their presentations.”- John Grecu, Dixie Iron Works
“One of the best introductions to the steel market I have been to. In fact, one of the best introductions to any market I have been to. You got to see the Who, What, When, Where, How, and most of all the Why across many factors and views of the market as a whole.” - Mark E. Kormanis - Lafayette Steel & Aluminum
“Well worth the time and effort to attend for both new hires and old pros. The ability of the presenters to flex the content for the audience at hand adds real value to the presentation.” - Liz Griffin, Severstal NA
“A great chance to closely observe manufacturing processes, quality issues, price indexes, purchasing, macro economic picture in Steel Industry. Thanks for Steel Market Update for providing this opportunity.” - Engin Bayraktar
“Overall, the workshop helped bring a lot of information together in a short amount of time. The experience and knowledge of the instructors was impressive. I can only hope to be as knowledgeable in the future.”- Jim Kozlowski, Kenwood Painted Metals
