Earlier this week (week beginning June 29th) Steel Market Update conducted a market survey of steel buyers and sellers. Our survey is done by invitation only to qualified buyers and sellers of flat rolled steel. The results of the survey are published in multiple areas of the site:

On the Home Page we have our Buyers Sentiment meter and the current reading this week is -42.2%. We also have our Price Momentum indicator which is showing the price trend on flat rolled steel as being higher over the next 30-60 days.

In Featured News on the Home Page we have an article about Buyers Sentiment and what it means. In the Steel News section of the site which is available to members and trial subscribers we have a number of articles about this week's survey in the July 1 edtion.

We just added something new to our Media section. If you click on the Media tab in our top navigation bar and then go to Files and click on View Gallery - you will be taken to two presentations. The first is a presentation (Power Point) I conducted for the Institute of Supply Management in May regarding the steel market. The second file shows the results of many of the questions asked earlier this week in a graph format (again a Power Point presentation package). I think you will find the charts interesting.
