Domestic Steel Mills Raise Flat Rolled Steel Prices - Again
Nucor is not the only domestic mill which has been actively “adjusting” flat rolled steel prices over the past 24 hours. Prices for hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized and Galvalume steels have gotten more expensive as mills are raising prices to their customers by $20 to $30 per ton.
SMU market sources have advised us mills like ArcelorMittal and Steel Dynamics (SDI) have been speaking with their customers about the latest price adjustments and forgoing the use of an official pricing letter.
SMU will be publishing more about the various mill price increases in this evening’s issue of our newsletter. You can view tonight’s newsletter and get access to past issues and the rest of the information not available to the public on our website by CLICKING HERE.
If you would like to become an annual member (subscriber) to Steel Market Update and stay ahead of the market you can do so on our website by CLICKING ON THIS LINK. Our prices will be rising as of January 4, 2011 so now is an excellent time to become part of our dynamic organization.
