Phillips Metals Inc. (PMI) has just announced that galvanized tubing producer Marcegaglia USA will now provide galvanized tubing for them. The companies are joining together as Marcegaglia has the operational capabilities while PMI provides the sales force.

PMI’s press release said, “Marcegaglia USA produces galvanized tubing products in their Munhall, Pennsylvania location. The company is part of the Marcegaglia Company, a global steel products organization with annual sales in excess of $5 billion. At their facility in Pennsylvania, Marcegaglia USA produces galvanized tubing in rounds, squares, and rectangles in wall thickness from .020” through .130”. Target markets include conveyors, fencing, temporary structures, construction, scaffolding, livestock pens, and other industrial applications.

PMI is a global tubular products company that represents several manufacturing mills for a variety of products. In addition to the galvanized tubing line from Marcegaglia, the company sells Drawn-Over-Mandrel (DOM), ERW mechanical, structural steel tubing, hydraulic tubing, cold-drawn-seamless (CDS), stainless steel, titanium, cupronickel, and other materials. Phillips Metals Inc. is headquartered in the Chicago area and operates sales offices in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.”
