Durable Goods

Durable Goods are items that do not quickly wear out, or more specifically, yield utility over time rather than being completely consumed in one use. Steel Market Update follows both new orders and shipments of manufactured durable goods and collects this information from the U.S. Census Bureau. Figures are then converted into a 3-month-moving-average to level out peaks and troughs for erratic months. This data is available to our executive and premium members and dates back to March 2007.
