USS/Posco Announces Base Prices for March 2014 Orders

U.S. Steel – POSCO Industries (UPI) has opened their March flat rolled steel order book and in the process the company has put out a letter to their customers advising of the new minimum base prices the mill will be charging for hot rolled pickled & Oiled (HRPO), cold rolled (fully annealed) and hot dipped galvanized.
The new base prices, fob UPI are quoted to be as follows:
HRPO $35.75/cwt or $715 per ton (includes the P&O extra)
Cold Rolled $40.00/cwt or $800 per ton
Galvanized $42.50/cwt or $850 per ton
The mill also advised that their published mill extras would continue to apply for any March 2014 orders.
