SDI Appoints Don Switzer New Manager of Sales at Columbus

Steel Dynamics announced that effective immediately Don Switzer will be assuming the role of Manager of Sales for its recently acquired steel-making facility in Columbus, Mississippi. Switzer will succeed Kasandra Lutzko who recently left the company to pursue other interests.
Mr. Switzer joined Steel Dynamics in 2006 as Product Manager for pre-painted products and most recently served as Marketing Manager for the construction markets.
Prior to joining Steel Dynamics, Mr. Switzer held a number of progressively responsible positions with AK Steel and with Rollcoater. After beginning his career in the industry with AK Steel’s predecessor, Armco Steel, he excelled in a variety of sales, marketing, and management roles, ultimately leading their Cincinnati and Detroit sales offices. Building upon his success at AK Steel, he served as Director of Sales and Strategic Business Planning with Rollcoater.
Mr. Switzer currently serves on the boards of the Metal Construction Association and the National Coil Coating Association. He also continues to be active in the Metal Building Manufacturers Association, the Door and Access Systems Manufacturers Association, and the National Frame Builders Association.
