December 3, 2015
US Steel announced that Vice President – Service Center Solutions Geoff Turk will pursue other opportunities following the transition of the commercial entities during the realignment of its flat-rolled operations.
Turk will lead the integration of the Industrial and Service Center Solutions teams and leave US Steel following completion of that project in first quarter 2016.
Turk was instrumental in the Carnegie Way transformation, helping to develop important process improvements in the company.
“Geoff came to U. S. Steel to help us continue to lay the foundation for the transformation of our company,” said Mario Longhi. “His broad knowledge, passion and contributions as a leader and a teacher have made a tremendous difference across our enterprise. At this point in the journey, it is appropriate to let him apply his skill and ability to do the same for others.”
