Union Partners LLC Acquires Berg Steel Corp.

Union Partners LLC, a hands-on full service investment company, has acquired Berg Steel Corp., effective Aug. 1, 2016. There will be no interruption to service for customers of the Royal Oak, MI steel service center.
Union Partners portfolio includes Mapes & Sprowl Steel LLC, Chicago Steel Holdings LLC, JIT Steel Services LLC, JIT Steel Transport, Cortran LLC, and Opus Metals LLC.
“This acquisition is a perfect complement to our Michigan infrastructure in Grand Rapids, Gibraltar and Farmington Hills; and we are excited to welcome Berg Steel to our family of companies” said Paul Douglass of Union Partners.
