Alro Steel Purchases CS&W Facility in Milwaukee

Ryerson Steel has sold a Central Steel & Wire facility in Milwaukee to Alro Steel for $7.1 million. CS&W was acquired by Ryerson in July.
In its third-quarter 2018 earnings report, Ryerson stated it expected to receive about $10.5 million in proceeds from the sale of two midwestern CS&W facilities after consolidating operations into existing Ryerson locations.
The 6th Street CS&W facility is located on 10 acres and includes a 108,000-square-foot building assessed at $2.9 million, according to city records.
Alro Steel, headquartered in Michigan, is a distributor of metals, industrial supplies and plastics with locations in 12 states. Alro currently has two metals division facilities in Wisconsin, one outside of Milwaukee in Wauwatosa and the other in Oshkosh.
