SSAB Announces $40 Price Increase

SSAB Americas notified customers today, March 7, that it intends to raise its transaction prices by a minimum of $40 per ton effective immediately for all new non-contract orders acknowledged for shipment the week of April 28 and beyond.
The increase applies to As-Rolled Mill Plate, Cut-To-Length Plate >72”, Hot Rolled Coils >72”, as well as Normalized and Quenched & Tempered Plate. All extras will be applied as published.
“SSAB continues to monitor market conditions in order to better realize the value our products bring to our customers,” the company stated.
SSAB’s last announced increase was a $40 hike in the plate price on Oct. 22, 2018.
