Registration is in full swing for the 2021 Tampa Steel Conference, which will be held virtually on Feb. 2, 2021. Here are just a few of the companies already registered to attend (those with an asterisk * mean more than one person is registered for the event): All Metals*, ArcelorMittal Dofasco*, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Berger-US, Inc., BMO Harris Bank N.A., 3VC Company*, Bradesco BBI*, Canam, Chapel Steel, Con-Tech International, Conklin Metal Industries, Inc.*, CRU*, Deutsche Bank*, Feralloy Corporation*, Global Steel Solutions, Great Dane, Heating and Cooling Products, Imperial Manufacturing Group*, Lennox International, North Coast Container, North Star BlueScope Steel*, Optimus Steel, LLC, Phillips Manufacturing*, Priefert Manufacturing, Railroad Friction Products Corporation, Ratner Steel Supply Company, Red Bud Industries, Reliance Steel and Aluminum, Section 3 Appraisals Inc., Sherwin Williams, Texas Iron and Metal*, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Voestalpine USA, and West Central Steel.
John Armstrong, CEO of Reibus, had this to say about the virtual conference experience provided by SMU: “The virtual conference program provided great content. Being able to flexibly watch and participate in the conference allowed us to remain engaged and at the same time continue to engage with our customers.”
Steel Market Update will be using the same technology/platform at the Tampa Steel Conference as we did for the SMU Steel Summit. You can expect a quality experience with an opportunity to network with your fellow attendees.
One company has registered 20 employees including the company CEO. This conference is a unique opportunity to allow many of your employees to attend this one-day virtual event at a price point that won’t damage your company’s bottom line. Full price tickets go for $150 per person. However, SMU and CRU member companies receive a $25 per person discount. Any company sending more than one person gets a $25 per person discount. This means if you are an SMU/CRU subscriber company and you send two people, you only pay $100 per person.
For a limited time (through Dec. 31, 2020) anyone who previously attended the Tampa Steel Conference will receive a 50 percent discount ($75 per person, no other discounts allowed).
We have a strong agenda, which you can see by clicking here. You can register by clicking here.

HR Futures: Market finds footing on supply-side mechanics
As Labor Day marks the transition into fall, the steel market enters September with a similar sense of change. Supply-side fundamentals are beginning to show signs of restraint: imports are limited, outages loom, and production is capped, setting the stage for a market that feels steady on the surface but still unsettled underneath.
