Plate supplier Leeco Steel has added new processing capabilities to its distribution center in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
The company recently installed a Messer MPC2000 MC combination cutting and drilling machine, allowing for additional plasma cutting, oxy fuel cutting, beveling and drilling at the facility.
“Having a Messer combination machine at our Hamilton facility will enable us to better serve Canadian customers,” Denton Nordhues, president and CEO of Leeco Steel, explained in a statement.
“We will continue investing in people, facilities and equipment across all distribution centers to create even greater value for our customers,” he added.
In July, Leeco completed an expansion at the Hamilton facility, adding 30,000 square feet to the existing 45,000 square feet of warehouse space.
The Isle, Ill.-based company also recently added a Lissmac deburring machine and a Faro measuring arm to its processing facility in Oshkosh, Wis.
Leeco distributes carbon, high-strength low-alloy, and alloy steel plate products from 11 facilities throughout North America.
