Will we see you in Tampa in two weeks?

Written by Laura Miller

We’re just two weeks away from the 35th annual Tampa Steel Conference!

Have you registered yet? If you have, that’s great; we look forward to seeing you. If not, there’s still time to register and make the necessary travel arrangements to join us, but time is winding down.

Almost 450 registrants are signed up to join us at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street for the event that runs from Sunday through Tuesday, Jan. 28-30. We’re on track to beat last year’s attendance.

On hand will be executives from steel mills, trading companies, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, warehouses, and ports, as well as industry analysts, bankers, and suppliers.

You can learn more about the agenda, explore networking opportunities, and register here.

Panelists and speakers will provide updates on the latest happenings in the steel market. The logistics panel will be particularly timely. Consider what Anton Posner, CEO of Mercury Resources, who will be speaking in Tampa, recently said:

“The recent developments in the Red Sea, and region as a whole, present challenges to maritime trade that haven’t been seen in decades. The effects of the US/UK action on Yemeni rebel positions is still developing, along with other regional state actors entering the potential conflict. Ship owners and operators are all scrambling to digest and understand what is going on and how this is going to affect their vessel routing, not to mention vessel operating costs and ocean freight rates.
I’m looking forward to discussing this important issue at the Tampa Steel Conference on Jan. 28-30.”

– Anton Posner, CEO of Mercury Resources

We’ll be discussing this issue and so much more in Tampa. We hope you will join us!

Here’s a list of companies that have already registered. Those with an asterisk next to their name are sending more than one delegate to the event:
