Varsteel acquires Victoria Steel
Written by Michael Cowden
Canadian service center Varsteel Ltd. has acquired Victoria Steel (also known as Acier Victoria) of Victoriaville, Quebec.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Lethbridge, Alberta-based Varsteel said benefits of the deal include an expanded coast-to-coast presence, a more comprehensive range of structural steel products, and faster delivery times.
The company said the acquisition of Victoria Steel also fit well with its acquisition of Pacific Steel (Acier Pacificque) in Laval, Quebec.
Varsteel acquired Pacific Steel in 2024. And the company’s appetite for acquisitions has continued into 2025.
“By joining forces, we will be better equipped to serve our customers, expand our capabilities, and deliver even greater value across our markets,” Varsteel President and CEO Gerald Varzari said in a statement on Friday, Dec. 5.
Victoria Steel will operate independently as a subsidiary of Varsteel. Its existing management team and employees will continue to run daily operations, the company said.
