USS and USW convene ahead of formal contract negotiations

The United Steelworkers (USW) labor union and U.S. Steel plan to address their partnership and profit-sharing agreement during the week of May 11, according to a text message sent to USW members on Monday evening.

Union leaders said partnership meetings with the Pittsburgh-headquartered steel giant took place on Monday. During the union-only meeting on Tuesday, May 12, members discussed current issues and prepared for the meeting with USS leadership. The USW and USS leaders scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, May 13.
