USW and Cleveland-Cliffs to begin master contract negotiations on July 20

The United Steelworkers (USW) labor union and Cleveland-Cliffs will start negotiating master contract issues on July 20.
According to a text message update sent by the union on July 2, it is currently negotiating with the Cleveland-headquartered steelmaker at the local level.
Ahead of the master contract discussions, the message stated the USW bargaining committee went to Pittsburgh for planning and preparation for its upcoming talks with Cliffs.
The union plans to send regular updates as the negation process progresses.
Master contract discussions will begin with U.S. Steel on the same date.
Union contracts with both steelmakers expire on Sept. 1.
