Welspun wins $1.8B line pipe order

Welspun Corp. has bagged a $1.8 billion order to supply line pipes from its US manufacturing facility.
Welspun Tubular LLC operates a welded line pipe manufacturing and coating facility in Little Rock, Ark., while Welspun Pipes Inc.’s corporate office is in Houston. The companies are subsidiaries of Mumbai-based global conglomerate Welspun Corp.
The order marks the largest single order in the Indian company’s history. Welspun called it “a landmark achievement.”
“This record-breaking order is the single largest ever awarded to the Company and marks a defining milestone in its global growth trajectory, reaffirming its leadership position as a trusted, large-scale partner to the global energy and infrastructure sector,” Welspun said in a statement.
The company said it will execute the order between 2028 and 2029.
With this order, Welspun’s global order book stands at a record $4.4 billion.
Welspun’s Little Rock plant has 350,000 metric tons of annual capacity for helically submerged arc welded (HSAW) pipe and 175,000 mt for high frequency welded (HFW) pipe.
