Metallus secures $995M Department of War contract

Canton, Ohio-based specialty metals manufacturer Metallus has been awarded a contract valued at up to $995 million by the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), part of the Department of War.

The firm-fixed-price contract is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) for high fragmentation steel for critical defense applications, the company said. “Using military services are Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Space Force,” DLA said in an announcement.
