Last week Steel Market Update conducted our first flat rolled steel market analysis (survey). Invitations were sent by email to approximately 600 companies. We received responses from 120 companies out of which 45 percent were service centers, 42 percent were manufacturing companies, 5 percent trading companies, 5 percent steel mills, 2 percent toll processors and 1 percent were suppliers to the steel industry (usually paint or chemical companies).
You can access the survey results on our website. You will need to log into the website and then go to the “Analysis” tab where you will find a sub-menu where you can access the SMU Survey Results. The results are in a Power Point pdf format so you will need Adobe to read the file.
