Chris Richards Named President of AM/NS Calvert

ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) announced Chris Richards has been appointed president of AM/NS Calvert. Richards will oversee all areas of operations at the Alabama mill and will report to and serve on a joint venture managing board. He most recently served as president of the AM/NSSMC joint venture I/N Tek and I/N Kote in New Carlisle, Ind.
Thomas Cayia will succeed Richards as president of I/N Tek and I/N Kote. Cayia will oversee the steel finishing facilities and report to Wendell Carter, vice president and general manager of ArcelorMittal Indiana Harbor. Cayia held previous positions at Inland Steel, I/N Tek and I/N Kote, as well as at ArcelorMittal Hennepin. Since November 2012, Cayia has served as operations manager of ArcelorMittal Columbus in Central Ohio.
