EVRAZ NA Q3 Production Stats

October 19, 2016
EVRAZ North America increased third quarter crude steel production 5.7 percent to prepare for scheduled maintenance outages at its Regina and Pueblo mills. Regina will be out for three weeks for upgrades to the steelmaking and rolling mills while Pueblo is scheduled for a two week maintenance outage.
Flat rolled production dropped 25.7 percent in Q3 as service centers responded to weak demand with lower inventory levels.
Output for tubular production fell 12.5 percent in third quarter compared to second due to pipeline delays and low oil prices.
Construction output fell 14.7 percent quarterly as demand for rod and bar weakened. Rail production increased 12.1 percent in third quarter after a maintenance outage at the end of second quarter affected volumes.
Scrap and other input prices resulted in lower prices for construction and tubular products in the third quarter, said EVRAZ. Flat rolled product pricing increased, however, as a result of peaking plate prices in July as volume rose.
