Hot-Rolled Coil Price Volatility: Buckle Up
As a Steel Market Update member company as well as those on a free trial, you are invited to join CRU and CME for a free steel webinar on hot rolled coil prices on Thursday, April 18.
U.S. Midwest HR coil price volatility has increased markedly in recent months as opaque policy decision-making processes and inelasticity of domestic supply have led to large variations in physical market price. At the same time, volume and open interest on CME HRC futures and options contracts have surged. This webinar will cover all these issues.
Date: Thursday, April 18, 2019
Times: 9.00 BST (London) – or – 10.00 EST (New York)
On the agenda:
- Causes of U.S. Midwest HR coil price volatility;
- Understanding future market fundamentals and prices;
- Managing price risk now.
Presenters will include Chris Houlden (CRU), Josh Spoores (CRU), and Sean Kessler (CME). The webinar will last approximately 45 minutes and will include Q&A with the presenters. Questions may be submitted during the webinar and upon registration.
Hear from CRU and SMU in person this June. You are invited to join us in New York for the annual CRU New York Steel Briefing.
SMU and CRU will be out in force for the 2019 SMU Steel Summit Conference in Atlanta on August 26-28. Come join us and one thousand of your industry friends. You can learn more and register for the SMU Steel Summit Conference by clicking here.
