Written by Brett Linton
June 3, 2020
James Banker, Executive Vice President of NLMK USA, will be the featured speaker at 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday, June 10, for our next SMU Community Chat webinar. Mr. Banker will share his views on the current state of steel production during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as various trade issues. The 45-minute webinar is free and open to all.
This will be the first time we will host a steel mill as part of our SMU Community Chat. NLMK USA is a combination mini-mill and conversion mill. They produce steel from scrap in their Portage, Indiana facility, while in Pennsylvania they utilize slabs originally from their parent company in Russia, now from Brazil as well as other international and U.S. sources. NLMK produces hot rolled, cold rolled and galvanized steel in their three U.S. facilities.
You can register for the webinar by clicking on this link.
