Ryerson has acquired Norlen Inc., a Wisconsin-based metal fabricator, for an undisclosed sum.
Norlen is a full-service provider of metal stamping, machining, painting, and value-added fabrication services to the agricultural, HVAC, and defense markets. It is located in Schofield, Wis.

“Norlen’s extensive processing capabilities provide additional opportunities for Ryerson to grow our value-added business in the Midwest and beyond,” commented Jeff Redfield, Ryerson’s north region president.
“This acquisition will enable us to recognize synergies in supply and strengthen our network of service centers with greater in-house fabrication offerings for customers,” he added.
Chicago-based Ryerson is one of the largest service center groups in North America, with approximately 100 locations across the continent and five in China.
Prior to the Norlen buy, Ryerson’s most recent acquisition was in March when it purchased Houston-based metals processor and distributor BLP Holdings LLC.
