AZZ - Precoat Metals taps new president

AZZ – Precoat Metals has announced the promotion of Jeff Vellines to president of the company.

Vellines most recently served as SVP of commercial at the St. Louis-based steel and aluminum coater.

Recall that Fort Worth, Texas-based AZZ Inc., a galvanizer and coil coater, acquired Precoat in May 2022 for approximately $1.28 billion.

“With over 20 years in the coil-coating industry, and 15 impactful years at Precoat Metals, Jeff’s deep industry knowledge, exceptional dedication to customer relationships, and profound commitment to our team’s culture and values uniquely qualify him to lead our company into a promising future,” AZZ – Precoat said in a statement on LinkedIn on Tuesday.
