The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) has named four new members to its board of directors.
The board has elected Clive Grannum, CEO of North American Stainless; Rick Marabito, CEO of Olympic Steel; Guillermo “Willy” Moreno, president, USA, of Tenaris; and Barry Zekelman, executive chairman and CEO of Zekelman Industries.
“Clive, Rick, Willy, and Barry are strong advocates for American steel and for combating the unfair trade practices that have dramatically impacted our industry,” AISI Chairman Lourenco Goncalves said in a statement on Monday.
Goncalves is also chairman, president, and CEO of steelmaker Cleveland-Cliffs.
AISI President and CEO Kevin Dempsey added, “As we navigate this critical period in the history of our industry, we look forward to working with these strong and passionate leaders to advance AISI’s policy priorities.”
The announcement took place at AISI’s board of directors meeting, in conjunction with its general meeting in Washington D.C.
