Worthington Enterprises has acquired HVAC products maker Elgen Manufacturing of Closter, N.J.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“The addition of Elgen aligns closely with our strategy to build and acquire businesses with leadership positions in niche markets,” Joe Hayek, Worthington Enterprises’ president and CEO, said in a statement on Thursday.
Elgen will become part of the building products segment of Worthington. This includes a portfolio of building systems and components for heating, cooling, construction, and water applications. It also covers architectural and acoustical grid ceilings and metal framing and accessories.
Worthington said Elgen’s steel-based products are used by contractors for HVAC infrastructure within commercial buildings.
“We are excited to welcome the Elgen team to Worthington Enterprises and look forward to growing together as their 250 employees become part of our people-first, performance-based culture,” Hayek said.
Worthington Enterprises is a Columbus, Ohio-based designer and manufacturer of building products, consumer products, and sustainable energy solutions.
Recall that Worthington Industries split into two standalone, public companies in December 2023: Worthington Enterprises and Worthington Steel.
