Oregon Steel Mills has joined other producers in announcing a price increase of at least $60 per short ton for steel plate.
The Portland, Ore.-based company told customers on Tuesday that the minimum increase of $60/st was effective immediately with all new orders.
It applies to all carbon, HSLA, hot-rolled coil, normalized, and quenched and tempered products, the company said.
SSAB Americas said last week it was raising plate prices by $60/st. And Nucor told its customers on Monday that its prices were being lifted by the same amount.

Oregon Steel Mills was previously a part of Evraz North America known as Evraz Oregon. It is now part of Orion Steel Companies, having been acquired by private equity firm Atlas Holdings in July.
