Triple-S buys Texas service center Industrial Material Corp.

Triple-S Steel Holdings has acquired regional service center Industrial Material Corp. (IMC).

Terms of the deal, which was effective Nov. 6, were not disclosed.

“After servicing Galveston-area customers for many years, Triple-S Steel is excited to have a physical footprint on the island (of Galveston),” Sam Stein, director of business development at Triple-S Steel, said in a statement.

Based in Galveston, Texas, IMC supplies steel tubing, angle, sheet, plate, hardware, and accessories around Galveston County and the surrounding area.

Privately owned Triple-S, headquartered in Houston, operates a national network of steel service centers that distribute carbon, stainless, and specialty products to fabricators, OEMs, and construction markets.
