    US steel shipments increase in December, full-year 2025: AISI

    Domestic steel shipments rose month-on-month and on-year in December, according to the latest figures from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). At the same time, full-year 2025 shipments increased.

    US steel shipments totaled 7,454,338 short tons (st) in December. That’s up 5.4% from 7,073,659 st in November and a 3.5% increase from 7,205,093 st a year earlier.

    Meanwhile, shipments rose 4.9% in full-year 2025 to 90,953,066 st, up from 86,698,917 st in 2024.

    Comparing full-year 2025 shipments to 2024 shows: corrosion-resistant sheet and strip, up 4%; hot-rolled sheet and strip, up 1%; and cold-rolled sheet and strip, down 4%.
