ITC votes to keep duties on Chinese OCTG
Written by Laura Miller
OCTG imports from China will continue to face US anti-dumping and countervailing duties for at least another five years.
This comes after the US International Trade Commission made a final affirmative injury determination on Wednesday in a five-year sunset review of the duties on seamless and welded oil country tubular goods from China.
In its final results of the sunset review last month, the Commerce Department found that allowing the duties to sunset would lead to dumping at margins up to 99.14%.
Revoking the duties would likely lead to harm to the US industry “within a reasonably foreseeable time,” ITC ruled.
Sunset reviews are conducted every five years per international law.
