Atlas Tube, Maruichi USA cease joint venture discussions

Talks of a potential joint venture between Atlas Tube and Maruichi USA have ended.
Last month, the two tubing manufacturers announced they were exploring a joint venture that would combine their operations under Atlas Tube’s management.
Zekelman Industries, parent company of Atlas, said on July 7 those talks had ceased.
“Those discussions have now ended, and no joint venture will be pursued at this time,” said a statement from Zekelman. “No further information will be provided.”
Zekelman is the largest independent pipe and tube producer in North America.
Maruichi USA is a steel pipe and tube manufacturer with six locations in the US and Mexico.
