    USS gets final permit to advance Q&T facility at tubular ops in Alabama

    U.S. Steel said it has obtained the air permit necessary to enter the next phase of construction of the new quench and tempering (Q&T) facility at its Fairfield Tubular Operations in Alabama.

    As reported in June, the $475-million project will add in-house capacity for heat-treated product to support demand growth.
