Written by John Packard
August 7, 2017
A quick update to the steel community regarding our upcoming SMU Steel Summit Conference as well as our Fort Wayne, Indiana Steel 101: Introduction to Steel Making & Market Fundamentals workshop.
We currently have 584 people registered to attend the 2017 SMU Steel Summit Conference which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia at the end of this month (August 28-30, 2017). We anticipate we will have 600 registrations and that we will exceed last year’s attendance by 160+ steel and manufacturing executives. There is still room for a few more people and you can register online or by contacting one of our offices: 772-932-7538 or 706-216-2140.
Our October 4-5, 2017 Steel 101 workshop is sold out and we have started a wait list for those who are trying to get into that workshop class. We will announce a new workshop in the coming days. The new workshop will be in January 2018. Thank you very much for your interest in our program which will have help educate over 500 people in industries associated with the steel industry (manufacturing, steel service centers, steel mills, toll processors, logistics, financial community).

Final thoughts
