277 Companies to Attend SMU Steel Summit
Written by John Packard
August 8, 2017
Shortly after the 2016 edition of the SMU Steel Summit Conference was concluded, we began planning for the 2017 conference. One of the first things you do when planning a large steel conference is put together a budget. Our budget called for us to register a minimum of 400 manufacturing and steel executives. In 2016, we had 434 executives attend. So, we were being conservative with our budgeted numbers. Secretly, there is always an upper end of the budget number – you know, the “what if this all fell into place” number. That number was +100 above our 2016 attendance which, by the way, was a record for our conference. We exceeded that number a couple of weeks back (our upper range number) and we have continued to get new registrations. We’ve added 13 people just in the last 24 hours. As of this afternoon (Tuesday, Aug. 8), with 19 days until the kick-off of the conference, we have 277 individual companies registered and we have shattered our “what if” registration number. Thank each and every one of you as your business is truly appreciated, and one of the beautiful things about our SMU Steel Summit Conference is the quality of our attendees. Thank you!
Here are the companies registered to attend. Those with an asterisk (*) next to their name indicates that two or more people are attending from that one company. You can add your company name to the registration list by clicking here (individual) or here (group of two or more) or you are welcome to contact our offices at 772-932-7538 or 706-216-2140.
