Written by John Packard
December 9, 2021
The 33rd Tampa Steel Conference will be live and in-person as we return to the Marriott Water Street Hotel in Tampa, Fla. The conference dates are Feb. 14 (networking opportunities and first day of Introduction to Hedging Workshop), Feb. 15 (golf outing, boat tour, and hedging workshop in the morning followed by the beginning of the conference program in the afternoon, and then capped off with a networking cocktail party in the early evening), and Feb. 16 (full conference program lasting until 3:30 p.m.).
We have expanded the program to allow us more time to discuss topics critical to steel buyers, traders, steel mills, and those associated with the industry. You can learn more about the program and speakers by clicking here.

The Introduction to Steel Hedging (formerly called Hedging 101) Workshop cost is separate from the conference fee. However, I believe discounts are being offered to conference attendees. To learn more about the workshop and the costs to attend, please click here.
Come join us in Tampa where you can enjoy warm weather, the comfort of the Marriott Water Street Hotel, which is located on the water close to the port, aquarium, Tampa Bay Lightning Arena, and the convention center. The hotel is located on the light rail line, which can take you across downtown Tampa and out to the historic Ybor district. Final thoughts
First off, we hope everyone had a safe and happy July 4th holiday, with fireworks seen and BBQs attended. Many parts of the country are quite toasty at the moment, signaling that, yes, summer has indeed arrived. And looking at our most recent survey results, the summer doldrums have arrived as well.
