CRU Senior Analyst Ryan McKinley will be the featured speaker on the next SMU Community Chat on Wednesday, May 15, at 11 am ET.

McKinley is instrumental in determining CRU’s benchmark hot-rolled coil price. He’ll discuss his role, his background in steel, and how the index works.
He’ll also talk about trends in global steel markets and how those dynamics could impact the US. McKinley will in addition provide a one-year outlook for steel. He’ll discuss the factors that go into making such a forecast as well as some wildcards that he’s keeping his eye on.

Scrap market trades sideways in June
