Nucor keeps HR price at $910/ton

Nucor is holding its list price for spot hot-rolled coil at $910 per short ton (st), unchanged since June 30.
While the Charlotte, N.C.-based steelmaker’s consumer spot price (CSP) has maintained that level over the previous two weeks, it marks a $10 increase from a month earlier.
Nucor also said in a letter to customers on Monday that the price at its West Coast joint venture, California Steel Industries (CSI), is $970/st, also unchanged since June 30.
The company said it would continue to offer HR lead times of 3-5 weeks.
SMU’s average HRC price stood at $870/st as of Tuesday, July 8. That’s down $10 from the previous week but up $10 from a month earlier.
