    Nucor increases HR spot price by $5/ton

    Nucor increased its weekly hot-rolled coil spot list price by $5 per short ton (st) on Monday, Nov. 3.   

    The Charlotte, N.C.-based steelmaker announced its HR consumer spot price (CSP) is $890/st, up from $885/st a week earlier. 

    Nucor’s West Coast joint venture, California Steel Industries (CSI) increased its HR price to $950/st, up from $945/st last week.

    Lead times for all spot orders remain at 3-5 weeks, Nucor said. 

    SMU’s HRC price averaged $820/st FOB mill, east of the Rockies, as of Tuesday, Oct. 28. That’s up $15 per short ton (st) week over week (w/w) to an 11-week high of $820/st.
