Thyssenkrupp Materials Services acquires Mexico-based service center

Thyssenkrupp Materials Services announced its majority stake acquisition of Aceroteca Trading, SAPI de CV in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico.
The Essen, Germany-headquartered steel company said adding Aceroteca’s flat-rolled carbon steel processing and service center to its portfolio allows it to support its North American customers’ needs. Specifically, the April 10 company statement noted customers are focusing on localization and nearshoring strategies.
