    Nucor increases spot HR price by $10/ton

    Nucor announced on Monday, June 1, that its consumer spot price (CSP) for hot-rolled coil will be $1,105 per short ton (st) for the week, up $10/st from last week.

    The CSP for HR from CSI on the West Coast will be $1,155, also up $10/st.

    Lead times of 3 to 5 weeks will continue to be offered, said a letter to customers.

    Nucor has increased its HR spot price by $5 to 15/st each week since the week of Jan. 27, up $355/st over the span.

    SMU’s weekly price assessment noted HR coil prices at $1,070/st to $1,120/st, with an average of $1,095/st as of Tuesday, May 26.
