Nucor aims to hike plate prices by $60/ton

Nucor on Friday announced plans to increase plate prices by $60 per short ton (st).
The Charlotte, N.C.-based steelmaker announced the price hike in tandem with the opening of its August order book. All orders must be submitted by June 26 to be considered, the letter said.
The company said the increase would apply to all orders that haven’t been confirmed by an order acknowledgement.
