    Written by Ethan Bernard

Leeco Steel has announced changes to two regional operational manager positions.

The Lisle, Ill.-based plate distributor and service center has promoted Jeremy Rhoads to regional operations manager – Texas. Additionally, the company announced the transition of Bill Mess to regional operations manager – North and Central US. Both were effective June 1.

Mess, who previously served as regional operations manager for Leeco’s Texas facilities, will now oversee the company’s facilities in Indiana, South Dakota and Wisconsin. And Rhoads will oversee all three Leeco Texas facilities.

Rhoads started at Leeco Steel in June 2021 at its Joshua, Texas, facility.

“Jeremy’s promotion is a testament to his dedication, leadership and the positive impact he’s had on our Texas operations,” Andy Polka, Leeco’s VP of operations, said in a statement on June 19.

Mess joined Leeco in March 2011 as warehouse supervisor when the company opened its first Texas plant in Joshua. In March 2015, he started as regional operations manager for Leeco’s three Texas plants.

“Over Bill’s 15-year tenure, his leadership has been instrumental in building Leeco’s processing business and establishing operational best practices across the company’s facilities,” Polka said.
