Commerce makes final decision in line pipe sunset review

The US Commerce Department believes notable dumping and illegal subsidies would continue if import duties on welded line pipe from Turkey and Korea were allowed to expire.
Commerce announced the final results of an expedited sunset review of anti-dumping duties on Turkey and Korea, as well as countervailing duties on Turkey.
If the duties were sunset, the agency found dumping would likely recur at margins of 6.22% for Korea and 22.95% for Turkey. It said subsidies of 1.31% to 152.98% would likely recur for Turkey.
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) will next issue its final injury determination. If it finds injury, the duties will stay on the books for another five years. If it makes a negative injury determination, the duties would be allowed to expire, or to ‘sunset.’
