The proposed Hyundai-POSCO steel mill in Louisiana has been approved for up to $1.3 billion in bond financing, according to state records and local media reports.
The Louisiana State Bond Commission’s Sept. 17 agenda included up to $900 million in bonds through the Louisiana Public Facilities Authority and up to $400 million through the Port of South Louisiana. Subsequent local media reports said the commission approved both measures.
