Nucor Tubular Expanding Alabama Division

Nucor Tubular Products announced on Monday a $27.2 million expansion for its Trinity, Ala., division that will include new production, finishing, processing and packaging equipment, and hiring of additional workforce to support the new operations.
The expansion will allow Nucor Tubular Products to produce 1″ through 8″ A135/795 sprinkler pipe Schedule 10 and Schedule 40; in addition to 1 ¼” through 4″ HYDROFLOW™ Schedule 7 products. Threading capabilities will be added for 1″ through 2″ NPS Schedule 40 pipe.
Nucor Tubular Products recently received UL and FM approval of 1″, 1 ¼” and 1 ½” NPS A135/795 sprinkler pipe in Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 and will begin production of these sizes in June.
Upon completion of the expansion, anticipated for third-quarter 2020, Nucor Tubular Products will also begin production of A53 Grades A and Bin the 1″, 1 ¼” and 1 ½” NPS sizes.
