    Nucor holds spot HR price at $1,135/ton

    Nucor announced on Monday, July 20, that its consumer spot price (CSP) for hot-rolled (HR) coil will be $1,135 per short ton (st) for the week, unchanged from last week.

    The CSP for HR from CSI on the West Coast was also flat vs. last week at $1,185/st.

    Lead times of three to five weeks will continue to be offered, said a letter to customers.

    SMU’s weekly price assessment noted HR coil prices at $1,160/st, on average, as of Tuesday, July 14.

    We will update our prices on the evening of Tuesday, July 21.
